ASH Accessibility Concierge

Leading up to the meeting and while on site in New Orleans, ASH staff will check in periodically with meeting attendees on their meeting experience. In addition, if attendees need assistance during the meeting, they can contact accessibility@hematology.org for anything they may need.

Information on all accessibility services will be available at all ASH-related Information desks.

Accessible Seating in Session Rooms

A select section of chairs in the front of each session room will be marked with chair covers to designate specific seating for those who require this option.

Information on neurodivergent services will be available at all ASH-related Information desks.

Quiet Rooms

Quiet Rooms have been designated in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, where attendees may relax or take a break from the pace of the meeting. These rooms may also be used for nondenominational religious meditation or prayer (which could require gender-specific spaces).

Locations:

  • Female Room – Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Room 232
  • Male Room – Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Room 231

Power Nap @ ASH

Power Nap is a rest center within ASH Central where attendees can take a power nap for 20 minutes throughout the day in specially designed reclining lounge chairs/cubicles equipped with white noise and a charging outlet for electronic devices.

Participants will be offered a light blanket, similar to an airline blanket, which the participant will be able to keep or potentially use in cold session rooms. While Power Nap @ ASH is available on a first-come, first-served basis, you can contact accessibility@hematology.org for assistance in line placement.
