Take Action to Help Protect Critical Federal Workforce and Infrastructure

ASH is extremely concerned about the steps the Administration continues to take to radically restructure the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), eliminate critical programs, and significantly reduce the federal workforce. This includes devastating changes to agencies with programs critical to hematology, including the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and more. The Society is continuing to try to understand the impact that these changes have had and will have on hematology-related research, public health programs, and patient care.

ASH continues to lead advocacy on behalf of hematologists in Washington, D.C. as the Administration continues to make drastic changes at HHS that will stop research progress and jeopardize care for patients with blood diseases. Congress also needs to hear from constituents about how these sweeping actions have affected (and will impact) patients with hematologic conditions and hematology research.

ASH is calling on you to help support this critical advocacy by taking a few minutes to contact your legislators.
